Previously I did some posts on birthday lists and other similar plug-ins (here and here)… well, now that I’m using the wp plug-in manager (which is a great tool and I can’t say how much it has and will help with working in WP) I came across the countdown plug-in. So, I removed my birthday-list and my other countdown sections and am now just using this plug-in. (Shout out to Owen for the great plug-in!!!!)

An interface for WP2PDF
I’m still looking into things that I can do to make my sight better, and while doing that research (I’m sure you’ll see more posts soon about some of the changes I’m thinking of) I ran across this post: (Beloved by Target Employees Everywhere! An interface for WP2PDF). I figured that I would pass it on to anyone interested. I’m going to look more into this.
mamamusings: how i used quicksilver today
Quicksilver seems to be a Mac program/launcher that Liz comments on (mamamusings: how i used quicksilver today)… I don’t have a Mac, but I wonder if Michael would use the software on his laptop… something to think about and look into…
Say goodbye to spam with Mailblocks high performance email service
I had never heard of mailblocks before (Say goodbye to spam with Mailblocks high performance email service) but I received a noticed from Jacqueline Mackie Paisley Passey after putting a comment on her page. I didn’t really send her an e-mail, but I think the comment function on her blog sent her the e-mail and had my e-mail address as the response… I wonder if this is a way to help her with comment spam, or if it is an unexpected event because she now uses the Mailblock to help sort out the e-mail going to her e-mail box… huh…. will have to think about that for awhile…
Dr Dave’s Blog: Spam Karma
I’ve been getting some comment spam from someone promoting an on-line texas poker site and I’ve been wondering if there is some way to have the comments deleted before I even see them… well one of the links that Photo Matt commented on before was to Dr Spam Karma (Dave’s Blog). I set it up after downloading and installing the WP Plugin Manger (from the WP Plugins site)… BTW, WP Plugin manager so ROCKS!!! I used to use the MT plugin manager when I was working with MT and I’m very happy to see a WP plugin manager now…. Good going guys/gals…
Cook’s Illustrated
I was reading some of my bloglines entries and found a post on Joi Ito’s site regarding Geeky cooking. In his post he links to these two sites:
Both are very neat sites and will now end up in my virtual cookbook list (along with my link to FoodNetwork.)
