I totally “LOVE” SpamKarma and currently don’t plan on changing, but I ran across this link (Blogging Pro » Blog Archive » SpamKarma and WP Performance) and wanted to store it there for my history and for anyone else who wanted to read it. I currently don’t have any performance issue with WP (but then again, my site isn’t hit much at all…

Transparent Screens – a photoset on Flickr
I saw this on a couple ob bloglines feeds (Transparent Screens – a photoset on Flickr) and I must say that the people who did this took a real cool idea and really did a great job. See the link to see more of what I’m talking about… it’s worth the view.

Theme Switcher and Manager plugins
I just installed two plugins on my site. One is Le Meilleur Du Peer Theme Switcher (Thanks Mr Peer) and the other is the WordPress Theme Manager (Thanks Frederic). Two great plugins… Now I get to continue to “play” with my site…. but this also means that I have to do more work on getting some of my own themes up. The main themes that I have up are ones that I downloaded from other sites (thanks to all of the people who are building themes and putting them up… when I get more familiar with the 1.5 setup then I’ll see about putting up some of my own…) Anyway… you will continue to see changes on my site….
WordPress: Solution for sending moderation e-mail notifications to authors
I was just takling to Larry about this earlier today since this issue has been bugging me for a little bit, but now that more and more people are going to be involved with the blogs I’m working with this really started to bug me. Anyway, I did a search on WordPress support area and found someone posting there with a link to this article that discusses this topic. (Thanks Pierre for the info.)

Update: I wonder if this posting could also help. In the first posting (from Pierre) he talked about “hand-jamming” the code into the “core” program files. And said that if someone wanted to make it more “dynamic” that he would leave it to someone else. Well this other post is where someone talks about having the “From” address be from the person leaving the comment vs. the machine/admin and that got me to thinking couldn’t I combine the two and have the code in the function just send the e-mail to the author of the posting, and maybe even there is a loop I could write that would go through all authors listed in the DB and if they have the right levels send e-mails to them… huh… something to think about…
