Yes. I’m going to be spending most of the weekend getting ready for my trips. Boston next week for the Photoshop World convention, and the following week time in Texas with my wife and her family.

ScribeFire
Before I noticed this article from Blogging Pro I had been thinking about off-line blog editors (see my previous post here.) Well the other day I decided to download and install so I could test it the ScribeFire extension to my Firefox. Larry the other day mentioned that he had it and really liked it. I have only just started playing with it so I don’t have a full opinion yet. I did notice that I can’t post to my blogspot.com blog; but that’s no big – I don’t post there much right now anyway.
Subscription Icons
I’m looking at the Subscription Icons plugin for WP. For the most part I’ve always thought it was a good thing to give the people who are visiting a site multiple “one-click” options for something like the subscription to the site as possible/that work with the layout. I just never got around to doing much other than the “standard” that you have with a “default” type of WP install. This plugin will give me that capability without me having to reinvent the wheel. Great going…
Gunpowder River Park
Well, Lisa and I went back to the Gunpowder River Park today for a walk around. I’m still looking for some good images and a map but so far I haven’t found anything suitable.
Ajax Spell checker
Ok. I’m still thinking about “off-line editors” but I came across (again, I found that I had already downloaded it just didn’t install it) the Ajax Spell Checker plugin and so far it looks really good.
Blog Post Editor Options
I’ve been thinking about getting back into doing more postings and I have been having some issues with the WYSIWYG editor that is with the 2.1 WP. So I started looking and didn’t get very far yet (but then again I just started). What got me thinking about this first was a discussion with Larry where we were talking about off-line WP editors (I seem to remember looking at ecto and really liking it but that was a LONG time ago.
Well, while looking I ran across this post (WordPress 2.1 – More Editor Options) which talks about a way to add more options on your WYSIWYG editor option for WP. (I had also heard about this on the WordPress Podcast but since I was at work when I listened to it and didn’t write down the key stroke I hadn’t tried it. Well, it does give the editor more options. And to be honest it seems that the problems I was having before with the WYSIWYG that comes with WP isn’t a problem now I’m thinking of using it while I’m on-line. I still want to keep looking for off-line options.
Here are some links that I found while looking for “off-line wordpress editors” on Google:
