Blackjack Game

29 Apr

Ok. I’ve got a working (and so far no crashes) version of my Blackjack game. It’s possible that I’ll keep “tweeking” it and I might even do more with the theme’s (maybe add different cards based on the theme…) But for now it’s up and ready for people to see.

update I switched out the blackjack game for one where I “cleaned up” the code. The game works the same.

RSS in Plain English

27 Apr

This article has a video that explains RSS in plain English and I must say it does explain it very well. I won’t comment on if this could be done in something other than “hands in front of a camera” because I really like the content. I’m thinking of using this type of explanation the next time I talk about this. A “shout out” to David Peratly for a good posting/tool for explaining just what RSS is to the “non-techie”.

My Flash Games back online

15 Apr

Well, I just put some of the work from my “Flash Gaming Class” back on my site. If you are interested then they are here. The files are all ZIP files with the FLA (Flash source code) files. If anyone wants I can put them up so you can play on-line.

Reason why I’m putting them back online? Well, the Prof from the class is setting up a site where he is posting work from his students. His showcase site is http://faculty.ccbcmd.edu/~jchandler/.

Still in Texas…. “can you say MOOO?”

10 Apr

Yep… I’m here with the wifie taking it easy. This is spring break so I don’t have to worry about my JavaScript class right now. I’m still thinking about my final project, but it’s not due to be posted until just after I get back. That’s all for now… oh… BTW… here’s an article (The 9 Essential Posts that Every Blogger Should Know) I wanted to get back to and talk about later.
