  The Black Google Homepage

A few days ago (in case you didn’t know it) there was a movement to raise awareness about energy usage and the amount of damage we continue to do to the Earth. Well, Google did its part in helping to raise the flag and get people to notice. I heard about it on a few news channels during the day. The idea was to get “people around the world to turn off their lights for one hour – from 8:00pm to 9:00pm.” So I figured that, hey, that’s a good idea. I should be able to do that with no problem. I’d just read a book (by candle light). Reading is something that I do all the time so I figured that the big difference for me is that I normally have the lights on and maybe some music in the background. No problem.

Well, there was a problem. I spent most of last night playing Call of Duty 4 and didn’t even look up to see the time since dinner (about 6:00pm) until I took a break and noticed that is was about 10:50pm. So I totally went right by the 8 to 9 time frame….
