Well… I got an e-mail from Dreamhost over the weekend. They said they took my comments table off-line (renamed it) because they said there was too much “spam” hitting my site. It seems that my Spam Karma had been setup to keep all old “spam” comments. It’s be great at stopping the comments but it was also keeping about 40K of them in the comments table. Well… I went in and deleted those 40K spam comments and then brought the table back on-line. Spam Karma is now setup to delete any comment set as spam after 3 days so this shouldn’t happen again. We’ll see.
