Three Must Have Firefox Extensions for Blog Readers and Writers

17 Nov

I’ve read a number of Steve Rubel’s posts before on one of his blog sites, but I ran across this article (Three Must Have Firefox Extensions for Blog Readers and Writers) from my Google News daily e-mails. Very good article… I didn’t know about the scrapbook and had just heard about spellbound when I was looking for additions to WP to add spelling (I didn’t find/look for spellboung, just some posts had refered to it when discussing options for WP posters).

Plugin: Customizable Post Listings

13 Oct

I’ve been looking for something that would let me have on the sidebar (Like I used to do in MT) and I was searching the WP support site and came across a posting where someone else had the same question. This link (coffee2code.com Plugin: Customizable Post Listings) was posted as a solution.

Another plugin I’m playing with

07 Oct

Here is another plugin I’m playing with on this site: wp-vgl-events and to quote the author:

This is a count down/up script

Basically what it does it gives you the option to put an event on your blog and it will either count up to the event or count past the event and display the appropriate information each way. I’m going to see if I can get it to work to show when my wife is coming back from Texas.

— update —
After some work (and I still am not too happy about having to manually edit the plugin to enter the data, that is to say ‘hard-code the times and text’) I think I’ve got it working.

Great wiki article

19 Sep

Here is another Full Circle posting (I’m shortening down their name). This one is titled Great Wiki Article by Brian Lamb. I would like to come back here and maybe integrate some of this into the document that needs to be developed about wiki’s and just what makes a wiki a wiki.
